Giving Trees at Mesa County Libraries help needy during holiday season

Mesa County Libraries and Grand Valley Catholic Outreach are working together to help local needy families during the holidays. Giving Trees decorated with gift requests from underprivileged Mesa County residents are available at the Mesa County Central Library in Grand Junction and library branches in Clifton, De Beque, Fruita, and Palisade.

Using a Giving Tree is easy. To help someone in need this holiday, stop by a participating Mesa County Libraries location and select a tag describing a gift to purchase. Provide library staff with your contact information. After you have purchased the gift, bring it to the library unwrapped and with the Giving Tree tag attached. Please bring the gift to the library before Thursday, Dec. 13.

All beneficiaries of Giving Tree gifts are Catholic Outreach clients and Mesa County residents. Gift wishes are from all ages, from newborns to seniors. Gifts are meant to be about $25 or less.

Your participation in the Giving Tree effort can help make a needy family’s holiday special this year.
