Celebrate the end of Summer Reading with a party at the library

Get ready for a dinosaur-filled farewell to the 2013 Summer Reading Program at Mesa County Libraries.


Children’s finale parties are planned at most Mesa County Libraries locations from July 23 through July 30, and this year’s summer-reading fun will go out with the rumble of volcanoes and the roars of friendly dinosaurs. Activities will include songs, dances, and other fun activities built around the Magic Tree House book “Dinosaurs Before Dark” by Mary Pope Osborne.


Finale parties are scheduled for:


-          10 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, at the Central Library, 5th & Grand in Grand Junction

-          2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Clifton Branch, 590 32 Road

-          10 a.m. Thursday, July 25, at the Fruita Branch, 324 N. Coulson

-          10 a.m. Thursday, July 25, at the Clifton Branch, 590 32 Road

-          10:30 a.m. Friday, July 26, at the Collbran Branch, 111 Main St.

-          11 a.m. Friday, July 26, at the De Beque Branch, 730 Minter Ave.

-          10 a.m. Monday, July 29, at the Orchard Mesa Branch, 230 Lynwood St.

-          10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at the Palisade Branch, 119 W. Third St.


The finale parties are open to children and their families at no charge.
