Learn details of starting a business Jan. 7 at the Central Library

If you’re thinking about starting a business, plan to join Julie Morey, director of the Small Business Development Center, for an overview of everything you’ll need to know to set yourself up for success.
Her presentation, “Pumping Up the Dream: Starting a Business in Western Colorado,” is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at the Mesa County Libraries Central Library, Fifth Street and Grand Avenue in Grand Junction. The presentation is open to the public at no charge, although advance registration is required online or by calling 970-243-4442.
Morey will present a 2 1/2-hour overview of everything you need to know to start and grow your company, including business licensing requirements, the business planning process, and business financing options.
Also, the Business Incubator Center’s Open Coffee Club will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 17, at the Central Library. This informal group invites anyone to stop by for coffee and networking with area business owners and consulting with Business Incubator staff.
