For me, the library is a second career, and it is a joy. I spend my days helping patrons find books, movies, and information. What could be better? The best questions are the difficult ones. I also enjoy teaching patrons of all ages how to use their personal computers, tablets and smartphones. I like to think that at Mesa County Libraries we are in the information business, rather than just the book-lending business.
Which makes a nice segue to my previous life, in which I was a banker. My work brought me frequently to Latin America and gave me some freedom to travel on my own. I love reading and talking about travel and planning trips, even if they’re sometimes of the armchair variety. I particularly enjoy when I can combine my love of travel with my interest in history, whether it be American, European, African or Asian.
I look forward to helping you get the books, movies or information you want or need.
