Artists in Mesa County are invited to apply for one of three Artist in Residence spots available during 2016 in the Mesa County Libraries 970West Studio.
The entry deadline is Feb. 26, and applications may be submitted online at mesacountylibraries.org.
Artists 18 and older who live in Mesa County are eligible to apply. Artists may be at any stage in their careers and work in drawing, painting, fiber arts, sculpture, photography, video, music, writing, and poetry. Artists in other mediums also are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on limitations of the studio.
Three separate residencies are available: April 1-June 29, July 1-Sept. 29, and Oct. 1-Dec. 29, 2016. Artists interested in any of the residencies must apply before Feb. 26.
Selected artists will have dedicated space in the 970West Studio building at Fifth Street and Ouray Avenue for the duration of their residency. Artists also must agree to present at least three library programs to the community during their residency.
