The Jr. Scientist program at the library is bumping up a notch. CMU professors have motivated, educated and entertained young scientists from all over the valley once a month for the past 4 years.
To help nourish the insatiable interest of these young scientists, they will now have the opportunity to attend talks and register with the online companion program for book recommendations and “what’s next” activities. The upcoming Academy, kicking off August 29th, begins with the first talk in a series of 5 talks about animal adaptations held both at the library and at the Colorado National Monument.
Over the next 4 months, young scientists who attend the talks and complete the reading challenges and selected learning activities will earn badges and get a free science book and a certificate of completion.
