“Dragonkyn” author Nathan Smith Jones to present June 24 reading to teens

Young-adult author Nathan Smith Jones will present a reading from his book “Dragonkyn” to teens at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, in the Teen Area of the Mesa County Libraries Central Library, 443 N. 6th St. in Grand Junction.

The reading is open to interested teens ages 12-18 and their families at no charge. Seating is limited.
“Dragonkyn” is about a teen with unusual powers who discovers that he is part dragon. The book was written with a teen audience in mind and is meant to engage reluctant readers.

Jones is a middle-school teacher of English and language arts at Renaissance Academy, a public charter school in Lehi, Utah. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Arts degree in education.
