Friends of the Mesa County Libraries to hold Fall Book Sale Oct. 19-21; donations being sought now


The Friends of the Mesa County Libraries will hold their annual Fall Book Sale from Thursday, Oct. 19, through Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at the First Congregational Church, 1425 N. Fifth St. (across from Grand Junction High School).

The Fall Book Sale is a great opportunity to stock up on winter reading materials or to shop early for holiday gifts.

  • For the best selection, attend the Earlybird Sale from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. Admission is $10.
  • The Public Sale is 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20 (admission to the Public Sale is free).
  • The Bag Sale is 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 ($5 per bag or $10 per box).


Donations of books, CDs, and VHS tapes in good condition can be made anytime at the Friends Book Drop located at the southwest corner of the First Congregational Church parking lot.

No magazines or encyclopedias will be accepted.
