Jalapeños in bagels? Yes, please! While the pairing might seem unlikely, it really is delicious. But who would’ve thought to make such a combination in the first place? In the heartwarming (and mouthwatering) Jalapeño Bagels, Pablo, whose mother is Mexican and whose father is Yiddish, has to bring something to school for International Day that represents his culture. Going through all of the delicious food in his parents’ panaderia, each treat seems like a great choice, but there is only one perfect choice: the jalapeño bagel. The bagel, like Pablo, is a combination of the Mexican and Yiddish cultures. Of course, this story is about more than a bagel, it is a celebration of the benefits of collaboration and union between cultures.

¿Jalapeños en bagels? ¡Sí por favor! El emparejamiento puede parecer poco probable, pero es realmente delicioso. Pero, ¿quién hubiera pensado hacer esa combinación? En el conmovedor (y exquisito) Jalapeño Bagels, Pablo, cuya madre es mexicana y cuyo padre es yiddish, tiene que llevar algo que representa su cultura para el Día Internacional en su escuela. Pasando por toda la deliciosa comida en la panadería de sus padres, cada panecillo parece delicioso, pero solo hay una opción perfecta: el bagel de jalapeño. El bagel, como Pablo, es una combinación de la cultura mexicana y yiddish. Por supuesto, esta historia es más que un bagel, es una celebración de los beneficios de la colaboración y la unión entre culturas.
