I have always been drawn to true crime, mostly because the whodunit of it all makes me feel like a Mystery Gang member (zoinks). I usually satisfy my true crime need with documentaries, TV shows, and podcasts. But with the recent arrest of a suspect in the Golden State Killer case a few months after the release of I’ll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman’s Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara, I have decided to venture into reading more true crime books. Luckily the library has a plethora of options available.

One that really stuck with me is pretty old but Lois Duncan who wrote so many great teen suspense novels wrote a book called Who Killed My Daughter about the murder in real life of her own daughter. Chilling. True crime from the victim’s family point of view.
