Hi all,
Hard to believe that fall is in the air and that school has been in session for a month!! I just wanted to officially congratulate all the participants of Summer Reading! There were 4,244 participants of all ages, who collectively read 28, 407 hours! For one person, that’s 3-years-worth of non-stop reading! Way to go!
Also, thanks to all the students who read for their elementary school. Our winner this year — the winner of five years in a row — for the most hours read by their students is Caprock Academy. Congratulations! They will receive a commemorative trophy and their name will be engraved on our school winners’ plaque at the Central library in the Children’s Center. I would also like to give a shout out to our second and third place winners: Appleton Elementary and Rimrock Elementary.
Lastly, I wanted to include all the grand prizes that winners received this summer. We had many winners from all our library locations! Congratulations!
