A huge THANK YOU goes out to everyone who attended Mesa County Libraries Comic Con Saturday at Two Rivers Convention Center!

The official tally shows that about 5,200 people spent time at Comic Con meeting and making friends, visiting vendors, attending panel discussions, and listening to authors, entertainers, and artists discuss their crafts.

The costumes and cosplay were simply amazing. Mesa County’s creative, industrious, and original cosplay community was on full display at Comic Con, impressing experienced cosplayers as well as wide-eyed spectators who dropped by Comic Con to see what it was all about. Our costumed visitors who ventured up Main Street and into businesses around the convention center attracted smiles of surprise and nods of approval from the folks who saw them.

Our area’s enthusiastic Comic Con community did itself proud this past weekend, and because of that, we’d like to announce that we’ve scheduled next year’s celebration for Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019. Start planning now, and if you need some inspiration, stop by your nearest Mesa County Libraries location and check out our extensive collection of manga, comics, and graphic novels. See you soon at the library!
