Teen Reviews: This Time Will Be Different; Storm and Fury

Teen Reviews presents book reviews by teens in Mesa County. Don’t be surprised if you can’t find some of these books at the library or in stores: teens who attend Teen Book Club on Wednesdays at 4:00 at the Central Library have access to books before they are officially published.

Sugiura, Misa. This Time Will Be Different

This book was such a enjoyable and compelling story to read. It has a lot of powerful racial commentary much like The Hate U Give while also remaining a book of romance and a book of friendship. I would definitely recommend the book to any YA readers looking for a book that covers many heavy issues while still remaining somewhat light and fun!

Armentrout, Jennifer. Storm and Fury

Storm and Fury was really good. It’s not only has a wonderful fantasy story line, a romance, and lots of interesting fantastical characters, but it also offers a portrayal of what it’s like to live with retinitis pigmentosa and the knowledge that you will eventually be blind or almost blind. This was a really good book that I would recommend highly.
