New StoryWalk® featuring children’s book “Just Ask!” opens at Discovery Garden

Combine a story with a walk in a garden, and what do you have? A StoryWalk® in the Mesa County Libraries Discovery Garden!

A new StoryWalk® has been installed in the Discovery Garden, and families are invited to stroll through the garden at their leisure while reading “Just Ask! Be Different, Be Brave, Be You,” a children’s book written by Sonia Sotomayor and illustrated by Rafael López. The self-paced, self-guided StoryWalk® begins at the Fifth Street gate. At the end of the walk, a special children’s Take and Make kit is available while supplies last.

The “Just Ask!” StoryWalk® is up through April 30.

The Mesa County Libraries Discovery Garden is located at Fifth Street and Chipeta Avenue, one block north of the Central Library in Grand Junction. It is open to the public at no charge from sunrise to sunset daily.

Mesa County Libraries wish to thank Coldwell Banker, as well as Leila Shellabarger and Jill Ruckman from HomeSmart Realty Partners, for providing metal signs for the StoryWalk.
