Mesa County Libraries depend on volunteers throughout the Central Library and the other seven library branches.
Volunteer Opportunities are based on volunteers’ skills and on department or branch needs, which most frequently include Friends of Mesa County Libraries book sales, adult learning tutors, special events, and help in the Discovery Garden.
With as little as two hours a week, you can:
- Take an active part in your community
- Gain useful job skills
- Meet new and interesting people
- Share your love of library resources
- Make a positive difference in Mesa County
To become a volunteer with Mesa County Libraries, you will need to complete an application, have a formal interview with the Volunteer Coordinator, consent to a background screening, and attend a 2-hour orientation session. You can also expect some job-specific training (time varies) that will need to be completed before you begin.
