Help the library create its new strategic roadmap

This year, Mesa County Libraries will create a strategic roadmap to guide our operations starting in 2023. We’re asking for your help.

A strategic roadmap is a type of ongoing plan that gathers stakeholder input and focuses on activities, services, and real-world things the library will do to achieve its goals and objectives. A strategic roadmap is highly adaptable to changing conditions, reflecting regular input from stakeholders, and is intended for frequent use in guiding operations. Good strategic roadmaps do not gather dust on a shelf.

Creating a useful strategic roadmap is no small task, and to start the process, we’re asking for your input. Above all, Mesa County Libraries exist to serve the residents of Mesa County, and we believe our planning process should begin with you – our patrons and the Mesa County community.

We’re asking you to spend a few minutes filling out a five-question survey. Your thoughtful responses will be an important part of our roadmapping process as we seek to create a library that best serves our community.

You’re welcome to complete the survey online, and our library locations also have survey questions posted so that you can leave written responses there, as well. Responses are anonymous, and every answer will be read and considered.

The survey will be open through Monday, Jan. 31. We look forward to hearing from you!

(By the way, you can find our current strategic plan here.)
