  • Access with your library card 24/7 (not available for digital access only cards).
  • Learn on your own time. All courses are completely online and self-paced.
  • Instructor-led learning platform.
  • Receive actual grades and feedback regarding your performance (or choose to just audit, when available).
  • Earn CEUs (continuing education units) and Certificates. Successfully complete a course with a 70% or higher grade and you’ll earn a CEU Certificate documenting your achievement (please note that CEUs are not the same as college credit. They are a measurement standard for non-credit education).
  • View the complete A-Z list of course offerings (please note – in order to access UC at no cost to you, you must access it via the library’s website, not the Universal Class website – see below).

How Do I Access Universal Class?

  1. From our home page, select eResources A-Z, then Universal Class. When accessing outside the library, you will need to enter your library card number and password to continue.
  2. Click on ‘Register Now’ if a new user or ‘Sign in’ if you already have a UC account.
  3. Once you find a course you want to take, click on it to view more information. You’ll see how many lessons, how many exams and assignments, average time to take the course, how many Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) the course offers, and whether a video audit is available. Video-audit mode is for learners wanting to review courses without assignments, tests, or certification. Learners starting a video-audit course may switch over to the CEU course at any time.

We will be teaching a class on Universal Class and LinkedIn Learning at 10 a.m. on May 21, 2024 at the Central Library (registration required).

Happy Learning! For assistance with this, or any other library resource, please give us a call at 970-243-4442, email us at ask@mcpld.org, or visit any of our 8 library locations in Mesa County.
