From August 5 through November 8, 2024, Katie Sheader will be the 970West Studio Artist in Residence. Katie uses digital drawing and recycled book collage to create art that expresses her love for animals. She values re-use and conservation, themes reflected in her subjects, processes, and media. From river dolphins to cactus cats, her work features a variety of endangered animals alongside creatures from fantasy and folklore.
Visit the Artist in Residence page to learn more about Katie and view a list of her no-cost art programs and classes, including registration links.
In addition to classes on collage, digital drawing, and art market vending, Katie will be hosting weekly Meet & Greets every Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the 970West Studio located at 502 Ouray Ave. across from the Central library.
Drop by for a visit, see the creative process in action, and feel free to ask questions—everyone is welcome to attend the open-house style Meet & Greets!
