From January 6 – April 14, 2025, Cara Morton will be the 970West Studio Artist in Residence.
Cara studied art at the Worcester Art Museum School in Worcester, MA, and has spent her artistic life from a young age exploring many mediums, crafts and styles. Recently, her artistic path has led her back to the vivid and tactile world of chalk pastels, where she has re-discovered a deep appreciation for the medium’s unique qualities. This rekindled love for pastels has sparked a desire to share her knowledge and expertise with others, offering them opportunities to experiment with the same materials and techniques that bring her so much joy and inspiration.
In addition to introductory classes about pastels, Cara will be hosting weekly Meet & Greets every Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the 970West Studio located at 502 Ouray Ave., across from the Central Library.
Drop by for a visit, see the creative process in action, and feel free to ask questions—everyone is welcome to attend the open-house style Meet & Greets!
