Mesa County Libraries are accepting applications now through Nov. 11, 2016, for openings in the 970West Studio Artist in Residence program for 2017.
The 970West Studio Artist in Residence program is open to artists 18 and older who reside in Mesa County. Artists in a variety of mediums are considered.
The program will accept three artists in 2017 for terms of approximately 15 weeks each.

The Mesa County Libraries 970West Studio, located at Fifth Street and Ouray Avenue in Grand Junction, is a public multimedia production studio that gives Mesa County residents a unique opportunity to learn how to record and produce a variety of creative works in digital formats.
The 970West Studio building contains a 654-square-foot studio/training room, which is capable of holding 10-20 people for training; a 436-square-foot control room; a 245-square-foot space for an artist in residence; and storage space for equipment and materials.
