Four branches to close to public visits after Saturday, Nov. 14, until further notice

Four branches of Mesa County Libraries will close to public visits after Saturday, Nov. 14, due to pandemic-related restrictions.

The branches will be closed until further notice, and the library will offer alternatives for delivery of materials to patrons.

  • The Collbran, De Beque, and Orchard Mesa branches will close to public visits after Nov. 14 until further notice. The branches will continue to offer Curbside Pick-Up service during regular library hours starting the week of Nov. 16. For information about that service, visit our website or call the library branch.
  • The Gateway Branch will close to public visits after Nov. 14 until further notice. Gateway-area residents may use the library’s Books by Mail service to receive materials. For information about that service, please call the Fruita Branch at 970-858-7703.
  • All other library locations remain open to public visits with capacity limits and other previously announced limits on hours, study rooms, public computers, and other services. Curbside Pick-Up service is available at the Central Library and branches in Clifton, Fruita, and Palisade, and patrons can get book recommendations and place holds by calling 243-4442.

Library officials continue to evaluate conditions and monitor restrictions announced by Mesa County Public Health.
