Mesa County Libraries is dedicated to serving all members of our communities, and when you can’t visit the library, we may be able to bring the library to you. For those who live in Mesa County and who are experiencing a disability, extended illness, or any other condition which makes it physically impossible to enjoy the benefits of making a trip to the library, our Words on Wheels Homebound Service can help.
On a bi-weekly basis, the Words on Wheels vehicle delivers books, large print books, audiobooks, magazines, movies, video games, and more to over 30 locations, including many assisted living and retirement homes. We cover a service area from Palisade to Fruita, and from Orchard Mesa to Grand Junction.
Words on Wheels is a home delivery service that may be available to you. Call us today at 970-683-2420 to inquire, or apply online in English or Spanish.
Another resource available to Colorado residents is the Colorado Talking Book Library of Denver.
